Celebrating our members in the hospitality industry
This month we’re highlighting three LSG Purchasing members who have won awards, or extended their operations, both locally and across the UK.
These businesses are doing great things in the industry: The Scene in Lincoln, The York Roast Co, and Döner Shack have implemented strategies to increase footfall & revenue, undertaken operational expansions & improvements, and created groundbreaking menu updates. LSG Purchasing are proud to have supported these operations over many years.
The Scene in Lincoln
The Scene nightclub, Lincoln’s premier LGBTQ+ venue has been in operation since 2012 and prides itself on being an open, inclusive venue. The club hosts a variety of events and club nights and is Lincoln’s only venue to remain open nightly from 9pm to 5am.
Co-owner, Jason Reid, has recently taken over the takeaway shop next door to the club, with plans to open up in September under the name, Snacc. The new operation is ideally located to offer the club’s late night revellers a convenient late night takeaway.
The Scene nightclub has been enjoying deals from BOC, which provides tried and trusted gas systems for reliable beer and soft drink dispensers; Initial, which offers washroom services such as waste disposal, air care, hand hygiene, floor care, vending, washroom consumables and clinical waste services; and Proton, a leading manufacturer of cleaning chemicals for the hospitality sector.
The York Roast Co
The York Roast Co. blew up the internet in 2017 with their YorkyPud™ Wrap, which continues to ‘wow’ anyone who tries it. A traditional roast with yorkshire pudding is enough to set the taste buds fluttering, but when a golden brown yorkshire pudding wrap is stuffed full of roast dinner goodness, it’s a recipe for success.
The years following 2017 saw The York Roast Co. in the news time and again for their delectable yorkshire pudding roast dinner wrap.
The York Roast Co. is located in York and Chester and has been a member of LSG Purchasing since 2014. They currently trade with our partners, Alliance and Initial. Co-owner, Wayne Chadwick is also one of the presenters on popular local radio station, YO1 Radio.
Döner Shack
Sanjeev Sanghera, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Döner Haus and Döner Shack stated last year that his aim was for Döner Shack, “to be the number one kebab brand in the world”.
From humble beginnings as a street-food operation, Döner Haus is now operating with multiple sites across the country, and has big plans to expand even further. Drawing inspiration from the German Doner houses in Berlin, and offering its signature doner kebabs, halloumi, falafel, vegan schnitzel and currywurst, Döner Haus is taking the UK by storm.
Doner Shack has been a member of LSG Purchasing since 2017 and currently trades with our partner, Bidfood, who has provided the product range and service needed to support and build a developing brand, which is now able to expand across the UK.
